Tasting - Mt. Monster Cabernet Sauvignon

Name: Mt. Monster Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Limestone Coast
Country: Australia
Year: 2014
Price: $14

Winery ReviewDeep purple in color. Classic aromas of lifted blackcurrant, blackberry and mint on the nose. Flavors follow through of sweet berry-fruit accented by fresh muddled mint. Elegant, structured palate with big velvety tannins.

My Review: This wine smells like blackberry and dark raspberry. It has a slight zing to the smell as well, likely from the mint. It tastes like blueberries and blackberry, with hints of oak in the background. This is a dry wine, but the dryness did not hit me immediately.

I tasted this wine without food.
