Tasting - Peter Cruythoff Sauvignon Blanc

Name: Peter Cruythoff Sauvignon Blanc 2015
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Swartland
Country: South Africa
Year: 2015
Price: $10

Winery ReviewMade in a definite herbaceous style, this Sauvignon Blanc also offers tropical undertones of gooseberries that add fruit to the palate. Well-balanced with zesty acidity, every glassful is fresh and crisp, and perfect for warm summer days.

My Review: This white wine smells a lot sweeter than the Masseria Pertuso Avelium that I had in this tasting. It smells a lot like apricot and peaches. In terms of taste, it is acidic, smooth, and crisp. The taste isn't as sweet as the smell would suggest. It only had a hint of sweetness, and tasted a little like grapefruit.

I tasted this wine without food.
