Winery Review: A blend of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 10% Malvasia Nera. La Torre is one of the original estates in San Gimignano and has 350 hectares in the hills of San Gimignano. Intense vinous bouquet with a beguiling blackberry and violet notes. On the plate, round and robust with hints of wild berries, dark cherry and spice. This Chianti has an excellent acidity and a long and satisfying finish.
My Review: This wine has a very strong and intense taste. It's heavy with a very oaky and dark taste that is immediately felt. Dense cherry hints along with a musky feel. This wine also lingers in your mouth. I personally do not favor this wine.
I tasted this wine without food.
